Prof. Dr. Volker Epping is the President of Leibniz Universität Hannover (since 2015). He is also the Vice President of the university alliance TU9 and deputy spokesman for the universities in the German Rectors' Conference .
Academically, Prof. Dr. Epping is a German legal scholar and founding member of the "Association for the Promotion of German & International Scientific Law". He passed his first state law examination in January 1986 at the Hamm Higher Regional Court, and his second state law examination in April 1989 at the State Judicial Examination Office in Düsseldorf. In December 1992, he received his doctorate in law at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. In December 1996, he habilitated in Bochum as well.
After deputizing for various professorships in Münster, Cologne, Freiburg and Regensburg, Prof. Dr. Epping was appointed full professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Münster in March 1999. Since December 2001, he has been a professor of public law, international and European law at the law faculty of the University of Hannover. From 2004 to 2007 and from 2008 to 2009, Prof. Dr. Epping was Dean of the Faculty of Law in Hannover.

Senapathy ‘Kris’ Gopalakrishnan is a global business and technology visionary who has contributed significantly to the expansion of the global IT services industry. He co-founded Infosys 1981 and served as CEO and Managing Director. Under his leadership, Infosys grew exponentially, converting into a multinational corporation with a significant global presence. Kris has been very active in promoting the Indian startup ecosystem and philanthropically supporting research in India on brain sciences, age-related disorders, and healthcare. Kris is the Chairman of Axilor Ventures, a venture fund and early-stage startup accelerator. He is also the Chairman of itihaasa Research and Digital, a non-profit think tank focused on the evolution of India's technology domains. He established the Pratiksha Trust, which focuses on promoting education and healthcare, and has made substantial contributions to initiatives in India that seek to foster entrepreneurship and technology-driven innovation. Since 2009, he has also served on the board of trustees for the Infosys Science Foundation, where he is presently the president. Kris Gopalakrishnan chairs the Governing Board of India's National Mission on Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) and provides strategic direction and oversight to drive the mission's objectives, foster collaborations between academia, industry, and government, and promote research and development in Cyber Physical Systems. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the IIIT, Bangalore. He is both the Chairman of the Karnataka Government's Vision Group on Information Technology and the Chairman of the CII Centre of Excellence for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Startups.
